Keith and I love U2 - and he had never seen them in concert, so for Christmas I got him some tickets. We had 7th row seats - in my opinion the best in the house! U2 put on an amazing show and Bono is a true rockstar! It was the perfect night with my sweetheart!

I cannot believe that Scott is 2 months old now - man time flies! Scott had his 2 month appointment with the doctor yesterday. Dr. Holmes said he is doing great, a very healthy baby.

2 month stats:

9 pounds 05 ounces - 20th percentile
22 inches long - 10th percentile

Things I love:

Scott is a happy little guy - smiles all the time
He discovers his voice more and more each day - coos all day long
He is a superstar at sleeping through the night
Scott is still in newborn diapers and barely just fitting into 0 - 3 month clothes

Keith and I couldn't wait any longer, some people in our neighborhood had their Christmas decorations up weeks ago. Yesterday, Keith and I decided to put up our Christmas tree. We had a great time picking out some fun ornaments and putting the tree up. We are so excited for Christmas!

I am really into quick and cheap dinners. Today I tried out a new recipe for Sloppy Joes. This recipe was delicious. this recipe is perfect for a quick and easy meal. Add fries as a side dish and enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Condensed Tomato Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
2 tbsp. ketchup
1 tsp. prepared mustard
6 Kaiser Rolls

Directions:

Cook beef in skillet until browned. Season beef lightly with salt, pepper and any other ingredients you might prefer. Pour off fat.

Add soup, ketchup and mustard and heat through. Serve on rolls.

Serves 6.

Fun tip: Any leftover beef mixture can be heated and used to top tortilla chips...add some shredded cheese and sliced jalapenos and you've got a delicious appetizer!

Today we remember Keith's father, Keith David Allred. He passed away 4 years ago today. Keith's dad was a wonderful example of love, life and laughter. Although I never met him, I feel close to him and know he watches over our family. I am grateful for his example, and for the lessons he taught Keith as he was growing up.

I got tagged! Here are my 6 quirks!

1. CD's
I have to have the original copy of a CD. If someone burns me a CD and I like the songs I go out and buy the original CD, I dunno, there is just something about having the original that makes me feel cool.

2. Books
All my reading books have to be hard cover and in good condition. I can't stand it if a page gets bent or smudged, I once bought a second copy of a book I had already read because someone smudged the pages. Yeah its weird, but I have to have perfect looking books!

3. Bed time
When I get ready for bed, I have to follow the same routine. Go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, wash my face, pull down the covers and jump right in, I have to start out on my side and I have to have one arm under my pillow and the other curled up under the blanket. I can't sleep if I don't follow my routine.

4. My handwriting
I love to write Keith love notes in the morning before I go to work! But sometimes I have to write them more then once, if I write a note but don't like the handwriting I will tear it up and start all over until I think the handwriting looks just right!

5. Hot chocolate
I love getting hot chocolate, but I have burnt my tounge too many times from being too anxious about drinking my hot chocolate and taking a sip too early. When I get hot chocolate I can't drink it until I get home, by the time I get home the temperature of the hot chocolate is just right and I can gulp it down without fear of burning my tounge.

6. Stop lights
If a light turns yellow as I am passing through an intersection I have to kiss my hand and hit the roof of my car. Call it supersition, but its always made my day a little better when I make a little wish when going through a yellow light and kissing my hand and smacking the roof of the car.

As most of you know, the Drive In is our favorite place to go in the summer! We took my sister, her husband, and 4 darling little girls to see Walle at the Drive In. We had a BLAST! We ate at one of the best pizza joints, The Pie and then went to the movies. Confetti Mix, Capri Suns, blankies, a great movie, and great company made for one of the most fun nights at the Drive In! Thanks girlies for coming to the movies with Keith and I, we had so much fun, we want to go again!

Something amazing happend on Tuesday afternoon. I got home from work to a package on my doorstep. I hadn't ordered anything, and Keith hadn't ordered anything, but it was addressed to me so I decided to open it. I opened the package and went into shock as I pulled out a brand new Nikon D60 Digital Camera. I searched the box for a note, a message from the sender, some sort of information, but there was nothing in the box other then the camera. I called the shipping company and the company it was sent from and they had no information about who had ordered it on file. What a nice thing for someone to do, I can't express my thanks enough! I have been wanting a nice digital camera for a while and been anxious to go back to school to finish up my degree in Photography. I wish I could thank the person that sent me this wonderful gift. Whoever you are thank you! I hope one day I can return the favor!

Get Smart . . .

Keith and I just saw Get Smart, and we are still laughing about it! This movie is the best we've seen in a while, and it's one we will see over and over. Steve Carell is classic. Get Smart had the perfect mix of drama, action, and best of all comedy. Trust us, this one is worth seeing . . . a 5 star movie! Grab the popcorn and soda and enjoy the show!

Today is Keith's Birthday. He is 23 years old and looking good! We spent the whole weekend celebrating his Birthday. Friday night we got pizza at our favorite pizza joint, The Pie and went to the drive in. Saturday I let Keith sleep in for as long as he wanted and made him cupcakes. Sunday we had a nice dinner and spent the day relaxing and being with each other. I am so thankful to have Keith in my life. My love grows each day! Happy Birthday Sweetheart, I love you so much!

We picked up our puppy today! A darling chocolate lab, we named him Optimus, its Latin for "The Best". He is already so much fun to have! Keith and him were instant buddies! We love our little Optimus!

Keith and I love going to concerts, just a few weeks ago we went to Angels and Airwaves, but we are so excited for this concert! The Starting Line is one of our favorite bands! I actually won the tickets from 101.9 The End . . . I felt pretty cool when they announced my name on the radio! Keith and I can't wait! These two songs are their hits, "The Best of Me" and "Island", other favorites include: "Lasting Impressions", "Stay Where I Can See You" and "Photography". My Dad is probably the coolest Dad there is! A few weeks ago he found out a good friend of his has Cancer and is going to go through Chemotherapy, and lose his hair, so my Dad shaved his head! On Monday, March 24, 2008 Keith and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary! I can't believe how fast the time has flown. Keith and I enjoyed a night out together. We bought rollerblades for eachother, ate at Tepanyaki (mmm...my favorite) and then we snuggled eachother while watching Dan In Real Life. I am so blessed to have Keith in my life! He is such a great husband! I couldn't ask for more in life! Keith I love you now and forever!

IT HAPPENED, IT FINALLY HAPPENED, after 2 years and 6 months of working until midnight, I achieved status of a day shift Section Manager at Sorenson IP Relay. I will be working from 7:30 am to 4 pm, the same schedule as Keith! What a blessing! Keith and I pay credit to this happening to paying our tithing! Just 2 days before finding out I would be a day shift manager, instead of a night shift manager, Keith and I paid a little extra to our tithing. This isn't the first time we have received such wonderful blessings from paying our tithing. We are so grateful for the time we will be able to spend together after work.

Yep, it was also my Birthday. December 27th to be exact. I am now 23 years old! Keith had a full day of surprises for me. First we stopped at the mall, and he let me pick out an outfit, shoes included! Then he treated me to La Caille. Keith made arrangements with La Caille to set a table next to a fire place, he then ordered a beautiful bouquet of Gerbera Daisies to be delivered to La Caille so they would be on our table when we got there. It was such a romantic evening, one I will never forget. Thank you Keith for making my Birthday so special!

Christmas this year was extremely special for Keith and I. It was our first Christmas as husband and wife, and what a Christmas it was! Keith and I woke up at 7:30 am to open presents, we had a pile of them under our tree. Keith got Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii, and I got an Ipod touch. We had such a great time opening presents and spending time with family. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.

So, it has been some time, I know. But I finally found time to do a short blog and to brag about my cute clocks. I spent weeks and weeks trying to figure out what I would get my team at work to thank them for all they do, and it finally came to me, what would be better then a personalized one of a kind clock for each of their desks. Hot Chocolate

When it gets cold outside, Keith and I head to Juice N' Java to get the best gourmet hot chocolate in Utah. They have great flavors ranging from white hot chocolate, mint hot chocolate, and dutch hot chocolate. Tonight we chose hazelnut and snickerdoodle hot chocolate. Got a case of the shivers, head to Juice N' Java for some yummy hot cocoa.

Bad Day

Everyone has a bad day every now and then, for me work has been a bad day everyday, until I got this email from a co-worker, then I realized I didn't have it so rough...story is as follows:

Rob is a commercial saturation diver for Global Divers in Louisiana . He performs underwater repairs on offshore drilling rigs.

Below is an E-mail he sent to his sister. She then sent it to radio station 103.2 FM in Ft. Wayne , Indiana , who was sponsoring a worst job experience contest. Needless to say, she won.

Hi Sue,

Just another note from your bottom-dwelling brother.

Last week I had a bad day at the office. I know you've been feeling down lately at work, so I thought I would share my dilemma with you to make you realize it's not so bad after all.

Before I can tell you what happened to me, I first must bore you with a few technicalities of my job.

As you know, my office lies at the bottom of the sea. I wear a suit to the office. It's a wet suit. This time of year the water is quite cool. So what we do to keep warm is this: We have a diesel powered industrial water heater. This $20,000 piece of equipment sucks the water out of the sea. It heats it to a delightful temperature.

It then pumps it down to the diver through a garden hose, which is taped to the air hose. Now this sounds like a darn good plan, and I've used it several times with no complaints.

What I do, when I get to the bottom and start working, is take the hose and stuff it down the back of my wet suit. This floods my whole suit with warm water. It 's like working in a Jacuzzi.

Everything was going well until all of a sudden, my butt started t o itch. So, of course, I scratched it. This only made things worse. Within a few seconds my butt started to burn. I pulled the hose out from my back, but the damage was done. In agony I realized what had happened.

The hot water machine had sucked up a jellyfish and pumped it into my suit. Now, since I don't have any hair on my back, the jellyfish couldn't stick to it However, the crack of my butt was not as fortunate.

When I scratched what I thought was an itch, I was actually grinding the jellyfish into the crack of my butt.

I informed the dive supervisor of my dilemma over the communicator. His instructions were unclear due to the fact that he, along with five other divers, were all laughing hysterically.

Needless to say I aborted the dive. I was instructed to make three agonizing in-water decompression stops totaling thirty-five minutes before I could reach the surface to begin my chamber dry decompression. When I arrived at the surface, I was wearing nothing but my brass helmet.

As I climbed out of the water, the medic, with tears of laughter running down his face, handed me a tube of cream and told me to rub it on my butt as soon as
I got in the chamber.

The cream put the fire out, but I couldn't poop for two days because my butt was swollen shut.

So, next time you're having a bad day at work, think about how much worse it would be if you had a jellyfish shoved up your butt.

Now repeat to yourself, "I love my job, I love my job, I love my job."

Now whenever you have a bad day, ask yourself, is this a jellyfish bad day?

Date Night

Keith and I love to go to the movies! Friday night we went and saw the much talked about Bee Movie. We loved it! It's a great movie with humor and a great story line. Grab some popcorn, a coke, and some red vines, it's a movie worth seeing.
